Neha Modi, Senior Associate Architect at Modi Srivastava & Associates, Vadodara, talks about her design philosophy inspired by her interdisciplinary interests, the joys of collaborating with her architect spouse and her project The Nature House.
Ar. Neha Modi, a graduate of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Vadodara, has a body of experience in the field of architecture, interior design and fine art. An integral part of Modi Srivastava & Associates, as an Associate Architect she has heralded a variety of projects. Her work reflects her keen interest in the realm of painting and music. Her sensitivity to art and sound is championed in her approach towards design and helps her deliver contemporary and innovative design solutions.
Talking about her journey with her partner and Ar. Hitesh Modi, she mentions, “As an architect couple, it was college day’s hot discussion on design continuing into our professional journey”. On the dynamics of working with her husband, “Although disagreements on detailing issues happen, we both have a similar philosophy for life, minimalism is the theory which connects both of us.” She admits that it is an advantage of having an architect husband, partner, “I have enjoyed taking his help, during site execution and more so, to balance between social and professional responsibilities.”
