Sculpt That Body

Everybody wants a fit body, but more often than not, they are so embroiled in the daily rigours of life that they are unable to find the time to work towards it. But lack of time cannot be an excuse anymore. With the growing number of lifestyle diseases, everyone needs to be active and on their feet. Be it old-school weight training or newer forms of exercise such as High Intensity Interval Training, every man needs a mix of exercises to achieve his fitness goals. And remember, it’s never late to start. So, pick one (or more) of these popular and fairly new forms of exercise and start the journey to a fitter you.

CROSSFIT

A strength and conditioning programme developed by Greg Glassman, CrossFit is for those who want to get fit, but don’t like the idea of spending hours with machines in a gym. All the workouts are based on functional movements, and the purpose of the routine is to make an individual fit and healthy in general. Himanshu Bathla, Head Coach and Co-founder, Reebok CrossFit Gurgaon, elaborates, “We make people do things that a human body is generally made to do. For example, in CrossFit training, you would run, jump, climb a tree or a rope, move things around and more. The focus is on naturally occurring movements, and, to do these well, a person needs stamina, coordination and flexibility.”

The set-up for a CrossFit class is very different from that in a gym. “We do a lot of training outside, and when we are indoors, we don’t use machines. Instead, we use ropes for climbing, boxes to jump on, obstacles that one needs to clear,” he adds. If you want to focus on your entire body performance, enroll in a class today.
