Reworking the footprint of a Pretoria home resulted in this elegant self-contained cottage
Presented with an established, roomy home in Waterkloof, Pretoria, interior designer Tanja Beyers of Profurn Contracts was asked to create a separate, self-contained unit for the owner. “My client lives between the UK, Switzerland and South Africa,” she explains. “It made sense to rent out the main space and make a small flatlet for the client, so we completely rejigged the floor plan to accommodate a twobedroom pied-à-terre.”
