10 Tips For Moms To Cope With Worries
The Malaysian Women's Weekly|August - September 2019

Exam period is stressful, but for many parents prepping the kids back to school after the hols worries them even more! Here are 10 tips to cope – calmly

10 Tips For Moms To Cope With Worries

1 HAVE A PLAN

Psychologist Noosha Anzab reveals that while you might want to relax your kids’ routine during the school holidays, it’s best not to let them go completely. “Letting all boundaries fade during school holidays can lead to a difficult ‘back to school’ time,” she says. “Ensure you have a plan mapped out and that everyone is aware of it. Try a family calendar where you allocate time for different tasks.”

2 MAKE-YOUR-OWN LUNCH STATIONS

TV host and mum-of-two Sally Obermeder has a fun lunch-making hack the kids (and parents!) will love. “Keep plastic tubs in the pantry and fridge labelled ‘lunch’,” she says. “You may have one for fruit, one for main items like sandwiches and one for snacks. You can create any categories you like. The kids can take one item from each tub for their lunch box each morning. This means they’re packing their lunch so you don’t have to, plus it’s fun for them!”

3 TEACH CHILDREN TO PRIORITISE
