The moment he walks into the room, you will instantly become his best friend.
This young lad is pretty calm about his stardom and has his feet touching the ground. This Gwalior boy, Kartik Aaryan, now a complete Mumbaikar, makes sure that he maintains his innocence along with the fame that has come his way. In one of his interviews after the massive Sonu Ke Tittu Ki Sweety, this ultimate ‘Saviour Of Singles’ opens his tech side with Gayathri Menon.
ex: Kartik, we have seen your video of the store launch and few other events, your fans go crazy just to catch your glimpse. now is it safe to say that you have arrived?
I don't know if I have arrived but yes, I'm getting loads of love from the people. Everyone loved my performance in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (SKTKS). The Punchnama series was popular in youth but SKTKS opened me up to a wide range of audience. Now wherever I go, I hear people shouting my name and that's a special moment for any actor. I have waited for this moment for quite long, and finally it happened. I feel more responsible and that’s one reason why I'm taking time to finalise my next film.
ex: Has the behaviour of the industry towards you changed after the success of ‘SKTKS’?
People from the industry have always been warm towards me since my first film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. It became a cult film and everyone noticed my work, especially the monologue which was unique and fresh. After the big success of SKTKS, now producers and directors are showing more faith in me. I have film offers from people I always wanted to work with. I'm really enjoying this phase of my life and I'm grateful to god.
ex: Was acting always your ambition? Tell us about your journey.
