Typically, a cringe video is one involving an awkward or embarrassing situation for one person or more. And the reason for its popularity is people deriving a sadistic pleasure from seeing the humiliation of others”
I write this article with immense disgust and a hopeless perception towards web, the ‘thing’ that I probably can’t live without. Internet has been my (read our generation’s) life support for almost every single thing that we do. However, it’s been some time the same internet is giving us hints that probably it’s time to take a break from the web!
Thanks to music videos that are so-bad that-they’re-selling, there seems to be no relief from a continuous barrage of mind-numbingly cringe worthy videos and memes on the Internet. Some love them and others hate them, but no one can ignore them.
Yes, we are talking about so called craze named Dhinchak Pooja, Taher Shah and Vennu Mallesh to name a few. Thankfully, I don’t recall any further names right at this moment.Seems like my memory is taking a toss – all for good reasons right at this moment.
Let’s come straight to my confusion – why is Dhinchak Pooja’s “Selfie maine leli aaj” or “Diloka shooter” or whatever it is breaking the internet. Why are these songs worth making the craze over the web? Why are they getting popularity? Music videos that are so bad that they are actually being good for the web! What crap!
Let’s face the fact – Dhinchak Pooja too has her own fan following, and haters ofcourse. Some love her, and most of the others hate her, but certainly no one can ignore her. And her viral stardom makes us wonder: Why are we hooked to videos like these when they are so annoying or absurd?
