THE fate of missing mom Jennifer Dulos could be revealed by a bloodstained knife and pillowcase discovered in a Connecticut trash can — but the addict who claimed he made the gory find said he traded them for $5 in crack cocaine!
Now investigators are scrambling to retrieve the blade to determine if it could be linked to Jennifer’s disappearance.
Private investigator Paul Katz — who hunted for clues in the O.J. Simpson case, which also involved a lost knife — said the weapon could provide damning murder evidence.
Katz told The National ENQUIRER: “If this knife can be found and a DNA sample extracted, it could make this a slam-dunk case.
“But the detectives won’t be getting too excited yet. It could also be ruled contaminated and not usable.”
The mother of five, 50, vanished on May 24 — and estranged husband Fotis Dulos, 51, remains a suspect after investigators said he and galpal Michelle Troconis, 44, were caught on video ditching bags of trash in 30 different locations after Jennifer disappeared.
The pair have been charged with evidence tampering and hindering prosecution — but have pleaded not guilty.
But authorities believe Jennifer won’t be found alive after cops said a search of her house turned up blood spatter and stains as well as evidence of a “serious physical assault.”
