A WOMAN desperate to prove she’s the secret daughter of late teen idol David Cassidy could spark a bitter battle over his lucrative legacy, GLOBE can exclusively reveal.

Shelly Wright, 43, has long claimed her mother, Donna G. Wallace, shared a steamy fling with the Partridge Family poster boy after a Nashville bar hookup.

But Shelly’s failed struggle to meet her dad ended Nov. 21 when the singer died at 67 in a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., hospital from organ failure.

Though his estate is cash poor, the image rights of the I Think I Love You singer could be worth millions, experts say.

“She can absolutely go after the estate because she has a right to make a claim,” renowned legal expert Peter Gleason tells GLOBE.
