In March of this year, I shared with you some of the challenges Bishop Wijonamai was experiencing with our orphanage work in Manipur, India. Religious constrictions there mandated the movement of our children and the home itself to another property. We witnessed God’s intervention as He allowed them to move the children, disassemble the orphanage building, and move it to already owned property in Nagaland, which is under a Christian government. God saw their challenge and made it possible for them to move to a better area without any strings attached.
Haitihad what seemed to be an impossible financial challenge in front of them at the beginning of this year— several of us felt the challenge of the seeming impossibility. The children’s home needed to raise their budget for school and orphanage assistance, along with staff salaries to meet the national redefined cost of living expenses. Every donor was requested to increase their commitment. Even though we were unable to cover the full amount they had requested, we were able to raise our support an additional $10,000 annually. As we challenge what is seemingly an impossibility of another $10,000 deficit to meet their full needs, we believe the words of Jesus, “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’” (Matthew 19:26 NKJV).
