Tips To Max Out Your Workout

2019 is well underway— and you’re ready to slay your prob? You’re not really sure exactly how to do it. Whether you’re stumblin over the schedule (how can you fit it all in?) or confused about cardio versus strength up a solid workout routine can be tough.

So to help you get on track—and to save you from endless Google searches— we’ve asked fitness experts your most pressing Qs. The good news? They gave us some very helpful answers. The bad news? Now you have no more excuses. (You’re welcome!)

IS IT BETTER TO EXERCISE IN THE MORNING OR AT NIGHT?

EXPERT ANSWER: It depends

The trick is choosing a time that you’ll actually stick to that works with your schedule and your energy levels, says Cat Kom, founder and head trainer at Studio SWEAT onDemand. “However, the reason that morning exercisers are proven to be in better shape is because they don't let things that happen to them throughout the day get in their way,” she says. “If you wait until later in the evening, you might be too tired or have too much homework.”

If you are someone who prefers a later workout (and that’s perfectly OK!), aim to get it in at least three hours before bed, which will give your heart rate and body temperature time to cool down before you start snoozing.

DOES IT *REALLY* MATTER WHAT I EAT BEFORE (AND AFTER) A WORKOUT?

EXPERT ANSWER: Yes!
