Peyton Elizabeth Lee was born to act. After all, her dad, Andrew, is an actor and as a little kid, Peyton would help him prep for scenes and run lines.
“He was probably the first person to spark my interest,” Peyton says of her dad, who has had roles on shows like This Is Us, Chicago P.D. and General Hospital. “I was always so into what he was doing and loved seeing him on TV.”
Pretty soon, Peyton picked up some gigs of her own, like commercial spots for Sprint and Petco and a small part on the hit show Scandal. But it wasn’t until recently that she got her big break: the leading role on Disney Channel’s new series Andi Mack, about an artistic, introverted 13-year-old whose life takes a left turn when her older sister, Bex, returns home and shakes things up.
