Higher Education Is A Must; To Work Or Not Is Still A Question Mark
The Observer of Management Education|February 2018

Education is important. It is essential. It is a must. At long last it actually seems that the era of education as an essentiality in our lives is truly dawning in on us.

Higher Education Is A Must; To Work Or Not Is Still A Question Mark

More and more Indian women are heading out to colleges and universities for studies. However, this number if not really commensurate with the number which are working. The logical conclusion is that Indian women have realized that to make their children able enough to fend for themselves, it is really necessary for them to have high levels of education. For this to happen, it is necessary that the mothers be educated themselves as well. If they are not educated, there will be lesser inclination for their children to go in for studies. Also, if the mother knows the P,Q, and R of subjects, she will be able to guide her children too. The children can get help from their mother for their education related work. Also, she will be a role model of sorts for them to emulate.

This is a very big fillip, a big source of encouragement for children. That their mother is highly educated will motivate them further for higher studies. It will act as an onus for them to develop their skills and their base of education further. Like mentioned above, children who have uneducated mothers have to go at it alone to study. They do not have any help other than their fathers at home to go to for any doubts or queries they have. And they may have to opt for extra classes and home tuitions all the time. This is not a happy situation to be in. On the flip side, if the mother stays in tune with education, she can be the go-to point for them to reach out to in case they need any help of any sort.

Herd mentality works everywhere……..
