Q: After you left SNL last year, you got a lot of attention online for your bold, twisted hairstyle— a departure from the short look you’re often photographed with. Were you making a statement?
A: I think I was taking ownership of my look and saying, “Okay, I’m not working. I can be whoever I want. No one’s telling me how to look right now.” That feels really good.
