Dressed to Chill

When they’re not filming, Yazz and Serayah love go-kart racing with the rest of their cast in Chicago (where the show films). “We have fun together,” he says.

Giving Her All

Serayah’s secret to success: hard work. “You can dream on something, meditate on it, and want it, but what’s equally important is doing all the work you possibly can and staying 100 percent committed—110 percent when no one is looking!” she says. “That’s the time when you have to do the most. If you’re not working on your craft when it’s not important, I don’t know if it’ll ever be important.” So who are her role models? “I always look at Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant—they were the first ones in the gym and the last ones in the gym. And I just was watching a documentary on Beyoncé, where a background singer was saying that Beyoncé’s the first and last one in the stadium to rehearse. I thought that was awesome. It’s those moments that count, and that’s why those people are who they are.”
