Cosmo got a Hollywood fitness pro to speak—off the record!—about the crazy stuff that happens while sculpting the bangin’ bods we see on the red carpet.
When you train celebrities for a living, everyone wants to know the same thing: “What are they really like?” The truth is that most of them are just like you and me and face the same challenges when it comes to getting in shape. That said, I’ve had my share of over-The top crazies through the years. We’ll get to that.
First, let me say that I never set out to be a trainer to the stars. Years ago, I started working out and got really fit; then my friends asked me to train them. It was just my side hustle, but since I live in L.A., word got out and famous people started contacting me. It’s been my fulltime gig ever since. I’ve trained superstars in private health clubs and on movie sets all over the world. Because a lot of them have full-blown gyms in their (massive, droolworthy) homes, I usually go to their place.
My rule is always the same: No one gets special treatment when it comes to fitness. I don’t care if you won an Oscar yesterday. I’m still going to bust your ass and push you to your limit.
