Bring The New Year in Style!
Apparel|December 2016

Aletta D'cruz gives a lowdown on the New Year fashion trends and how to look scintillating, this party season.

Bring The New Year in Style!

It is almost the end of the year and the countdown to 2017 will soon begin. The month of December brings with it the biggest party of the year—New Year’s eve. It is the time to ring in a new beginning—a time to bring out the best of your style.

DRESSING RIGHT!

New Year's eve parties call for elegance, style and fun—all at the same time. Pull out those dresses from your wardrobe or go shopping for a new one—these are the most versatile outfits.

Dresses of different styles and cuts can be a woman's best friend, especially during the party season. Those looking for a casual look and yet something that will help them stand out, will find their answers in a pair of cool sequin shorts, a jazzy skirt or a bold blouse, combined with muted tones to help balance out the look. Jumpsuits are also becoming a big hit and will not fail, if you manage to get the right mix of colour and fabric.

The year 2016 is not about flashy ‘over-the top’ attires, but about elegance with the right amount of embellishments to make everything look beautiful. Add to this the hottest and most creative trends of 2016 and you will have the perfect ingredients to create an ‘eye-turner’ outfit.

PICKING THE RIGHT COLOURS

The season of winter and parties tend to bring out the colour black from our wardrobes. Black outfits are usually a safe bet—stylish, elegant and perfect for a glamorous evening. PANTONE Fashion Colour Report Spring 2016, however, gives you a wider range of colours to work with— everything that has been on the runway and will keep you updated with the latest fashion trends.
