2016 Jaguar XF 35t R Sport RWD: The New Benchmark For The Business Segment
360|France Issue - Sabrina Carpenter

As of late, we got our hands wrapped around an Italian Racing Red Second Generation XF and the results were quite satisfactory. Unlike its revivals, the E-class and 5-Series, the Jaguar XF’s standard package out performs with pinpoint steering and underprices at around $72,285. This is the ultimate cruiser car.

Shorter and lower than its predecessor, it has a slightly longer wheelbase and is substantially lighter. Unlike most models in the Jaguar kingdom, the new generation seems to be enjoying aluminum frames and panels. XF is fabricated with a 75% aluminum skeleton making the weight distribution close to 50/50. This supercharged V6 3.0L engine has about 340hp and 332lbft torque gaining speeds of 0-60 close to 5.0 seconds.

With a refined waistline and shoulders, the front grill seems to remain in tune with the overall elegant and sporty heritage of the brand. The gorgeous silhouettes have integrated front LED headlamps which save more energy than a traditional Xenon light. They are arguably brighter, adding additional symmetry to their overall clean lines, especially at night. The boot of this vehicle is a tad underwhelming, but the power trunk’s open and close feature is extremely convenient for the busiest traveler on the go. Once you open the driver door, the soft close option makes the door feel heavy and meaty like a traditional German vehicle.
