With four big-banner films already under her belt this year (and it’s only February), you can’t help but admire the 30-year-old’s evolution as a star and an actor.
While most of her contemporaries were holidaying it up in the last week of December, Shraddha Kapoor was enjoying family time, deliberating on her next career move and getting some down-time at her actor-parents Shakti and Shivani Kapoor’s sea-facing home in suburban Mumbai. On January 2, she resumed her rigorous fitness schedule of jogging, circuit training and Pilates that she began for the Saina Nehwal biopic. A week later, she was on sets of the horror comedy Stree with Rajkummar Rao.
She took to Instagram to express her delight at working with Rao, “Readings with the absolutely fantastic @rajkummar_rao.” In that week, she also announced her next film, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, with Shahid Kapoor. “The subject of the movie is very relevant today and I can’t wait to start shooting for it,” said Shraddha of the film, which is a love story, with an underlying social message set in Uttarakhand.
