Over the last three years, Jacqueline Fernandez has carved a steady niche for herself in Bollywood, with over 15 movies and numerous brand endorsement deals. She spent the last four months travelling to Miami for A Gentleman: Sundar, Susheel, Risky with Sidharth Malhotra; to London, Bangkok and Mauritius for Judwaa 2 with Varun Dhawan; and back home to Mumbai for her first Dharma Productions film, Drive, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. But the 32-year old actor confesses that when she started out in 2008 (with Sujoy Ghosh’s Aladin), her job was essentially to look pretty. It got her a foothold in an industry that has since rewarded her perseverance with some solid roles. It doesn’t hurt that she’s also in great shape. Her latest discovery is pole dancing, which, she says, is great for keeping fit. Edited excerpts from the interview:
