Verily, his superstardom and appeal predates the Khan generation by two decades. In the modern context of brands, there’s hardly a name that carries as much legacy as Big B’s. That’s the reason why even in 2017, when Mr Bachchan all of 75, is still a sought after name in the world of endorsements. LUX innerwear has recently procured his name for a reported sum of `10 crore for its Cotswool and Venus sub-brands. It’s the sort of remuneration younger A-listers can only dream of. The reason he enjoys such a magnetic pull over the janta and the brand players alike is his persona as the absolute Indian ideal. His professionalism, his discipline and conduct make him a model citizen. That explains why during the KBC revolution in the early 2000s, he was reportedly endorsing an excess of 50 brands all at once, beating his younger contemporaries by a huge margin.
