A shopper’s paradise, a gourmet fair, a carnival of wining and dining experiences… Singapore is a must-visit destination. It’s impossible to imagine that this tourist’s paradise was little more than a fishing village just over a century ago. Pooja Hegde recalls her memories of the Lion City…
ANIMAL INSTINCT
The best zoo I’ve ever visited was in Singapore. The animals are kept in spacious enclosures in their natural habitats and you can observe them closely. That’s how animals should be admired and nurtured... not behind cages. The dangerous ones are housed in landscaped glass-fronted enclosures. I guess my animal sign is a panda bear. I just love them. Like Po in Kungfu Panda, I too am a big foodie. I completely identify with him. I work out at the gym primarily so that I can eat whatever I want. There were also polar bears, orangutans, elephants, etc.
