The Author Who Has Been Translated Into Over 92 Languages And Penned Inspirational Epics Such as The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari And The Leader Who Had No Title, Met Hello! For A Private Tête-à-tête On Why His Latest Book, The 5 Am Club, Can Help Take Humanity To Yet Another Evolutionary Level
How did all the different countries that you travelled through while writing this book, make a difference to your story?
“There is a lot of scientific evidence coming out that proves how travel increases our creativity. So yeah, The 5 Am Club was written in Mauritius, Rome, Switzerland, Russia, Sao Polo in Brazil. I think the energy, the architecture and the food of all these places got into the book for sure!”
Your book redefines prosperity, refering to leaders who could fit all their possessions into a tiny sack…!
“I totally agree with you, we live in a world that measures wealth by your networth, or having a jet or a nice house, nice handbags, watches, knowing lots of people, getting a lot of likes on social media – nothing wrong with that, or living a beautiful lifestyle. I think we are human beings, we are sensuous creatures, why not enjoy the journey? But, we all know that money, fame, fortune, does not bring two things – joy and peace of mind. And if you were to ask me, you know what’s real wealth, it’s joy, it’s peace of mind and service to humanity! Mahatma Gandhi died with 10 possessions. The Mother Teresa mission in Kolkata – there was just a bed in there, and a table. I have been to Nelson Mandela’s prison cell on Robin Island, in South Africa, and there was not even a bed, just a little writing table where he would kneel, that was it. Not even a chair! So, I truly think that luxuries are fine, but if you make them your God, you will never find pure happiness.”
So as an experiment, I woke up at 3.00am to do justice to your book…. But one also wonders how less sleep can impact the body?
