The celebrity stylist grew up in peaceful Dehradun but currently loves the fast-paced days and nights of Mumbai along with her husband, actor and businessman, Sammir Dattani. “My first styling-related project was a music video my friend was producing and my next was dressing my best friend and actress, Amrita Puri, followed by costumes for my husband’s South Indian film. I’ve worked a lot with sports anchors – and my high point was dressing world famous swimmer, Ian Thorpe and Stephanie Rice when they hosted the Olympics. Lately, I worked with everyone’s childhood heartthrob, Milind Soman for India’s Next Top Model. I managed to make him wear sandals (he runs barefoot and shoes are his worst enemy) and he shared his ‘How To Still Look Hot At 52’ tips with me. It’s been a journey and it’s been fun!”

Boss Lady: “A ‘Boss Lady’ is someone who owes whatever she has achieved to herself. Women such as Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Indira Nooyi, Sophia Amoruso, immediately come to mind. This breed of intelligent, commanding women is not afraid to roar – the future is female! As a society, we’ve just got to accept that women will be ruling homes and offices. It’s a good time to be a woman.”

Style Steal: “I believe in having fun with fashion and being comfortable in whatever I wear, when you aren’t comfortable you don’t ‘own’ your outfit and it shows. My key style pieces include MISHO hoops (that have been worn at the beach and at weddings because of their versatility), dark slim fit (and flared) jeans that I dress up or dress down as per the occasion and my favourite Prada Cahier bag. On my lust list is a Balmain jacket.”
