Resham Samtani speaks her mind, and empowers other women along the way. Tina Thakrar has an open chat with the founder of she speaks series, a specially crafted series of confidence building and public speaking workshops.
No matter what stage of life you’re at, selfconfidence is important. It’s not always easy to speak your mind, remain poised, and fight for what you believe in. “Nobody can truly say that they are a 100% confident. Confidence is something we work on every day. Everyone has something important to share, and if that voice is wasted, then the world never gets to hear it, and we miss out on what it feels like to be strong, free, worthy and capable.”
Meet Resham Samtani, founder of the She Speaks Series, public speaking trainer, confidence builder, mentor for young girls, and all-around cheerleader for women everywhere! Once a shy, reserved girl, Resham set up a series of workshops to give young girls and women the tools to brave conversations in all stages of life. Her sessions are about speaking up, learning to say ‘no’, dealing with insecurities, sharing experiences, and most importantly, having faith in who you are.
Born in Indonesia, Resham was raised very much Indian, or more specifically, Sindhi. She moved to India to complete secondary school in an all-girls boarding institute, then to Australia to complete her graduation and post graduation, and a few years later, to LA, where she settled down with her husband. Five years on, the untimely demise of her husband turned life upside down, and she made a much resisted move back to Indonesia.
