Dada Turns 99!

People celebrate all over the world.

The momentous birthday celebrations of Spiritual Leader Dada J.P. Vaswani started right from Guru Purnima on July 9, 2017 with a Maha Mantra Yagna that went on till 20th July - his birthday according to the Hindu calendar.

On the evening of the 23rd, a youth event with the band Dharavi Rockers, titled ‘Hakuna Matata’ was held, blowing away all worries and instilling joy and happiness in the crowd that participated. The highlight of the event was a Q&A session between Dada and renowned writer, Ruzbeh Bharucha.

On the 29th of July, a 99-hour long non-stop Maha Mritunjaya Mantra Yagna began at the sacred Samadhi of Sadhu Vaswani.

The next day, Dada gave a talk on how to “Make The Right Choice” followed by a Q&A session hosted by actor Kabir Bedi. The duo enlivened the session with wit, humour, and laughter.

On the 31st of July, singer Ashok Khosla, along with his group of talented Sikh singers, sang excerpts from the ‘Gurbani’, transporting the congregation to a world of purity and divinity.

Then, on the evening of the 1st of August, celebrations for Dada’s birthday took place in the form of a musical film - The Idol. It depicted real life incidents from the lives of those who had been touched, influenced and finally transformed by Dada.
