A successful social entrepreneur, Kavita Khosa of purearth shares her startup story with Amaira Chhabria
It’s inspiring to come across the myriad of ways in which individuals leverage entrepreneurship to improve the world. With their passion, authenticity, and vision, they build social enterprises from scratch. In fact, these leaders focus on solving a problem by incorporating ethics and sustainability into all aspects of their ventures. A case in point is none other than the unstoppable force - Kavita Khosa who took her life in her hands and made her dreams come true.
Exemplifying intelligence and compassion, she is the Founder and Creative Director of her skincare and wellness brand- PUREARTH. Born from a desire to reconnect with the earth, it promises purity and provides ancient wisdom for a modern lifestyle. Being relatively new in the industry, her minimally processed formulations have received numerous awards and accolades from esteemed publications such as Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, to name a few.
Born and raised in Pune, Kavita wished to be a classical dancer but landed up graduating with a Law degree. After her post graduation from Hong Kong University, she worked as an associate solicitor with White & Case LLP, a Wall Street law firm. For almost 12 years she kept multitasking as a fulltime lawyer, mother and wife. Also in 2004, Kavita acquired a diploma in Ayurveda from the Ayurvedic Institute (founded by Dr Vasant Lad and Dr Robert Svoboda.) And one fine day, now a Director at Deutsche Bank, she quit the profession.
