T20 Star Griffiths Issues A Red Alert
The 24-year-old extended his contract at Grace Road through to 2019 last month, and is currently working his way back from an alert in his back suffered at the end of last season.
That was also Griffiths’ first real campaign of first-class cricket, in which he made his County Championship debut.
And with Nixon now installed as the new Leicestershire coach, the seamer is confident there is a lot more to come from him after a tricky maiden red-ball campaign.
Griffiths, who first caught the eye in the Blast Finals Day with Lancashire, explained: “My first class debut was last season in the County Championship and we didn’t have a great year in red-ball cricket.
