The Moneymaker: Nat Ho, 33. The actor currently co-owns four businesses including bento stall Love Bento, franchised Taiwanese bubble tea stall Bobii Frutii and Thai cheese toast shop Say Chiizu. He’s also a silent partner in The Jock Shop, a local men’s underwear store.
HIS HOME: His grandma’s three room HDB flat in Tiong Bahru, where he’s staying with a tenant who’s also his friend. Nat shares, “My grandma’s living with my aunt, so I have the apartment to myself, and I got my friend in to help out with the expenses. I actually like more space ’cos I’m introverted, so I moved out of my parents’ home [at Lakeside].”
HIS RIDE: An eight-year-old Honda Fit that he bought last year for $29K. “I got it after my endorsement contract with Kia ended. Kia asked me if I wanted to buy a car, but at that time I didn’t know how long I was going to be based in Singapore, so I didn’t want to be tied down with a 10-year commitment for a car. I have considered driving GrabHitch ’cos my cousin is doing it and she said you can earn money from it. I also read about drivers who network while they drive. But it’s quite troublesome to register your details with Grab. I don’t like to do admin stuff! And there’s the issue of privacy too.”
