Everlasting Moments (Maria Larssons Eviga gonblick).

IMDB Rating: 7.5/10
Released: 2008
Genre: Biography, Brama, History
Directed by Jan Troell, there is an old world charm to this movie, it is oddly satisfying and yet instills a feeling about empathy towards the artists. The movie slowly takes you to a very peaceful place where you actually see the reason of the art to be. Set in the early 20th century, it is an ambitious film that feels as light as a shadow.
Based on a true story, this movie, originally in Swedish, is a memoir of Maja Oman (played by Callin Ohrvall) and her mother (played by Maria Heiskanen) growing up during the turn of the century. The film explores the life of an artist and is an eye opener for every artist that goes through this phenomenon. I am calling this movie a phenomenon because this is not about the art, but why the artist is what she is.

Dried and Dusted
The West Bengal state of India has always been known for its rich culture and diversity. This innate taste and style is reflected in their dishes too. Their cuisine is essentially. A lot of its flavours and masala mixes have been handed down from over a thousand years and Bengalis to this day retain those recipes which make them truly “shonar Bangla” dishes.
