Six Tips To Increase Your Smartphone Battery Life

Optimise the number of widgets

Smartphone widgets draw a substantial amount of battery power. This is because most widgets are meant to provide up-to-date information on various subjects—ranging from news and weather information to stock market updates. All such information is drawn by syncing to the Internet, keeping the phone searching for connectivity signals.

It is advisable to keep only the widgets that provide information relevant to you throughout the day. If you are not an ardent widget user, the best thing is to shed these from your home screen and let your phone breathe.

Use an external battery case

Modular phone cases are relatively new and limited in the market. These phone covers come with customised slots for an additional battery to carry with your phone, along with other features such as additional memory space and extra USB ports. While most come with support for Samsung smartphones and iPhones, others extend their compatibility with more devices available in the Indian market.

Phone covers dedicated to batteries start at ₹ 2000. For instance, Vproof external battery case for iPhone X costs about ₹ 4000, while Pebble battery case for other iPhone models cost about ₹ 2200. ZeroLemon SlimPower smart cover for Samsung smartphones is also available for ₹ 2000.
