Electronic Industries Association of India, popularly known as ELCINA, honoured the best in the electronics fraternity at the ELCINA-EFY 2016-2017 Awards on September 14, in New Delhi.
Awards felicitate excellence at the annual ceremony for 2016-17
This year, ELCINA celebrated its golden jubilee, having completed 50 years of leadership in the domain. The coveted ELCINA Awards have been distributed for over four decades. And since 2010, the EFY Group has been a joint presenter of the awards, which are one of the most sought-after awards in the industry, with India’s leading firms keen in having one in their kitty every year.
The day prior to the awards function witnessed passionate discussions, during which industry experts, veterans and head honchos brainstormed over the industry’s current status, the challenges faced, and what it needs to do to overcome them. The fraternity seemed confident about the growth of India’s electronics industry in the coming years, with the tremendous zeal shown by the entire community giving the much-needed boost to this industry.
This glorious event attracted the electronics industry’s chief executives including Vinod Sharma, MD, Deki Electronics; Amrit Manwani, chairman, Saharsa Group of Companies; Pankaj Gulati, COO and VP, CDIL; Manish Sharma, president and CEO, Panasonic India; Hari Krishnan Puravankara, founder and CEO, Black Pepper Technologies, apart from other leading figures.
It was also attended by senior government officials from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Ajay Sawhney, secretary, MeitY, was the chief guest for the event.
Epcos India, Bharat Electronics, Sasmos HET Technologies, Lava International, Intex Technologies, Panasonic, Lenovo India and Nucleonix Systems were the major winners of the ELCINA-EFY 2016-17 Awards.
