Design and Build Quality
The polycarbonate body has reasonably good build quality, and the overall finish is good. The body offers a deep grip, making the camera very comfortable to hold. The tripod socket is made of metal and so is the camera body mount. The EF-S 18-55 mm f/4-5.6 IS STM kit lens has a plastic mount. The lens extends by one inch when zoomed from the 18 to 55 mm setting. The camera body, as well as the kit lens, are made in Taiwan.
