The Indian Women’s cricket Team led by Mithali Raj has ended the tournament being the proud runner ups of the WWC2017. They were defeated by England by 9 runs in the night of the finals. Nevertheless, it was a great tournament and the tournament saw some of the breathtaking performances by our Indian Team. If we take Team India’s future prospect into consideration, there are several young players in the squad, who can play for many more years and can lead the team to new heights. Players like Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami won’t be around for too long but the young guns are ready to take over from them. The recently ended world event has shown that Women in Blue have a bright future and if they continue to progress as a team, India is surely heading towards new heights in women’s cricket.
