What is a botanist?
A botanist is a plant scientist that specialises in studying various aspects linked to plants. The field encompasses a variety of different specialties, from those that study the internal function of plants, to those that study plants and their interactions to their various environments and ecosystems. There are many types of scientists that may be branded as botanists, as the field has become multidirectional and trans-disciplinary.
