In conversation with Amit Kumar Modi, Managing Director, AKM Group, the man who brought India Speed Week to Kolkata. The first such speed festival to be held in the city of joy.
xBhp: Tell us about how you started off your journey as an entrepreneur.
Amit Kumar Modi: In 2001 August, I started my career. In 2003 I started a car showroom, for second hand cars, called Car Gallery. In 2005, I opened a big showroom for second hand cars called Road Rage. In 2007, I put in a dealership of Skoda. And in 2009 I took a dealership for Chevrolet in the name of Priti Motors. And then we have taken a dealership for Indian and Polaris in 2016. And in 2016 we started off Machiners Paradise. And we also started India Speed Week.
