Meet The Woman Who Grows People
Big Issue|Issue 249

The Big Issue strives to ultimately steer vendors into jobs, giving them a leg-up rather than a handout. Career coach Tracy Dunn is making a big difference with one-on-one meetings with vendors, helping with CVs and identifying matching possibilities for them.

Meet The Woman Who Grows People

Tracy Dunn is an idealistic mother of equally idealistic twin girls. She’s also a career coach and HR consultant who likes to see people unlock their best selves.

“I’m really interested in leadership,” she says. “I like growing people. And seeing people on the side of the road – something I always see – is incredibly sad. It’s unrealised potential.”

Helping people blossom is also one of The Big Issue’s founding goals. And that fact motivated the project that Dunn and TBI recently kicked off.
