THE BEST SUPERB YOU CAN BUY — AND BY A MARGIN
A lot of young readers might be oblivious to the fact that when Skoda introduced the Superb in India, it didn’t just offer the usual market-friendly choices. With the second-generation version, Skoda introduced a V6-engined (VR6) variant complete with an AWD system. Quite an odd combination in the segment, you must think, but in hindsight, that must’ve been an amazing means to cover ground quickly. That lighter platforms and more advanced engines have made it possible to do exactly that in most saloons in the segment now isn’t a surprise. But what if you wanted something that’s more driver-orientated? You mustn’t spend too much time thinking about it, especially when the answer is pretty much in front of you in the form of the new-ish Skoda Superb Sportline.
