My diagnosis
I have been diagnosed with Diabetes 10 years ago during my annual health check-up. Initially, the diagnosis came as a shock to me. There was a feeling of disbelief assuming that now my life with Diabetes would be miserable. I was worried about the pricks and needles that would entail as a part of the management of blood sugar levels. But my diagnosis did not dampen my spirits to stay fit as my husband also has Diabetes and that has made me aware of the condition. There was no significant change in my life before and after my diagnosis, except for the fact that I am more cautious about my health now. My condition has taught me to make better health choices in terms of food.
