Should your Business tap into the Pokémon Go Craze?

Go or No Go

If you haven’t been following recent headlines, you might be surprised to learn that the latest craze in Malaysia is the Augmented Reality (AR) game, Pokémon Go. Walk down any street and you’ll see crowds of working adults, college students and children ‘flicking’ their smartphones trying to ‘catch’ these digital creatures known as Pokémon.

WHAT IS POKÉMON GO?

The app is a mobile location-based game developed by Niantic, Inc and Nintendo, which is available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store. It has been in the market for only a few months now and is already wildly popular with over 100 million downloads on the Google Play Store alone.

The aim of the game is to explore your surroundings and capture as many Pokémon as possible to level up your character.
