Over the years, MSI has built a powerful gaming lineup and earlier this year, the company refreshed its gaming laptop lineup with GeForce RTX GPUs. We look at the refreshed GE75 Raider 8SG and this is what we think.
The notebook screams gaming from every angle. Clad in black and red, the GE75 Raider 8SG features a 3D dragon spine design that extends across the cover and connects to the rear exhaust vents to give that aggressive look. Interestingly, MSI has also designed the oft-ignored bottom base design to give the notebook a futuristic feel. When it comes to connectivity, the 2.66kg notebook packs in all the necessary ports at the side, including illuminated USB ports, USB Type-C 3.1, DisplayPort, HDMI, headphone jack, mic-in, Ethernet and SD card reader slot.
The GE75 Raider 8SG comes with a 17.3-inch display supporting Full HD (1920x1080) resolution. Under the hood, the GE75 Raider 8SG is equipped with Intel’s Core i7-8750H CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB of SSD with 1TB HDD, Nvidia’s top-of-the-line GeForce RTX 2080 GPU and the notebook handles process-intensive tasks and latest graphics-demanding games with ease, including the ones that support Ray Tracing and DLSS.
