Versa offers Fitbit tracking goodness with smartwatch perks

Fitbit makes great activity trackers but the company stayed away from the smartwatch market for all these years. Ionic was their first attempt and quite frankly, it wasn’t the best looking smartwatch in the market. Versa, on the other hand, seems to have addressed this and made it slightly more affordable than the Ionic. But is it worth it? Let’s find out.

Irrespective of features, Versa is a better looking smartwatch than Ionic. It’s compact, very light and looks premium with the aluminium body. It’s water resistant to up to 50m, which means it’s safe enough to wear while swimming or while you’re in a shower! The replaceable watch bands allow to customise the watch further with a choice of regular ones or with Horween leather, woven bands or stainless steel.

The Versa has a touchscreen display but can be controlled with the three physical buttons. It runs Fitbit OS 2.0 that puts fitness to the forefront. Swiping it up from the bottom reveals a quick today’s fitness achievements while tapping the upper right key gives a quick access to a number of exercises. The watch supports apps that can be installed from the Fitbit app but the app store has a limited number of apps. Also, we feel the discovery of new apps can be better.
