In a bid to create awareness about Jallikattu and tell the world that it is indeed a sport, a 39-year-old techie from Chennai, Vineeth Kumar went on a 8357 km solo motorcycle ride across the country. He shares his motorcycle diaries with Provoke Lifestyle
An adventure motorcyclist all his life, Vineet Kumar realized his long time dream when he reached home on September 10 after riding solo for 21 days covering a distance of 8357 km across India, touching most of the important towns and cities. On his longest motorcycle odyssey ever, Vineeth Kumar had set out to clear all doubts about the ancient Tamil sport, Jallikattu, among the people of the country and to explain to all that there is no cruelty involved in the game.
Starting from Chennai, on August 20, on his Honda CBR 250 R, he first rode to the land's end, Kanyakumari and from there went to Bengaluru - Mumbai - Wagah - Jammu - Srinagar - Sonmarg - Zojilla - Dras - Kargil - Leh - Khardungla - Nubra Valley Manali -Delhi - Agra - Jhansi - Sagar - Nagpur - Hyderabad and Vijayawada and returned to Chennai.
