Saving Begins At Home

“A woman’s best protection is a little money of her own.” A popular line by American playwright Clare Boothe Luce is perhaps the best advice a woman can get about self-assurance in life. Women are endowed by nature to be sensible with money though due to social and economic factors, they remain highly prone to financial distress or vulnerability. Factors like a longer life span (compared to me), growing number of single women and financial burden of families (due to divorce or death of spouse, etc) are exposing women to financial crises. Thus, it is very essential for women to be financially literate and independent. Here are few ideas for a financially secured life for every woman.

Don’t avoid money matters: Generally, women consider planning investments or following them up as mundane or a man’s job. Many do not want spend time on learning or lack self-confidence. It is no longer so. In fact, a woman can take control of money as she seldom takes unwanted risks or advice from any or everyone. So, go ahead and take one step at a time and consult a financial advisor.
