Standing up against its German counterparts, the Lexus brings together luxury and top of the line performance.

An Embodiment Of Luxury

The Indian Executive Luxury segment has ruled by the German Triosfor a very long time. Even though some luxury manufacturers did enter the segment, they are yet to beat the Germans at their game. Lexus which is the luxury brand of Toyota debuted in India with three models and among them representing the said segment is the LexusES 300h, which is placed below the fully loaded LS 500h (not yet launched in India). In this review, we are going to find out whether ES 300h is capable of dethroning the Germans.

Lexus designs have always been classy and understated, not flashy like its competitors. But one look at the fascia of the current models and you will understand the design philosophy at Lexus has undergone a makeover. The new models stand apart from its competitors by being bold and make a statement with their styling cues. The fascia consists of the spindle-shaped grill which is incorporated in all the new models of Lexus. The headlamps are small but sharp with LED DRLs placed below projectors. The boomerang shape given for fog lamps are also very attractive. The side profile of ES 300h is clean and elegant. The mirrors are not placed on the B-Pillar, instead it is placed on the door and the design is unique. The big chrome lining between tail-lamps gives a wider stance to the car and the LED tail lights’ design is simply awesome. This car certainly has a design which won’t look outdated even after 20 years.
