Coping with... ECZEMA

A topic eczema is most common in children and is part of the atopy (allergy) triad of asthma, eczema, and hay fever. It runs in families and can have triggers such as soaps, detergents, foods, stress, and the weather.

Other types can occur, such as pompholyx on the palms, contact dermatitis, and varicose eczema in the lower legs. They may have similar triggers and are most common in adults. Eczema is not infectious so is not passed on by contact.
