Emmerdale’s Claire King has withdrawn from social media because she’s sick of being trolled. Unkind people have been telling her she looks old and withered on the show. This is par for the course for high-profile celebs in an age of toxic Twitter rants and Instagram shaming, but what struck me as really sad about Claire’s story was that she said most of her trolls were middle-aged women.
