Isha Talwar soars above the norm to keep reaching new heights of self discovery.

Flying Without Wings

She has come far from being Aisha. Having been on screen with the likes of Sharukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and now Saif Ali Khan, Isha is loved by all. Someone who is dedicated to her craft and is unapologetic, she is a beloved outsider and insider in Mollywood. Isha looks stunning in the flow skirt and burgundy top as she effortlessly pulls off pose after pose.

I sit with her in between costume changes as she jokes with our team and lets us in on her joys and loves. A fitness freak and a total foodie, Isha is just another girl who has taken on life with confidence.

You are acting with Saif Ali Khan for a Bollywood movie! Were you fangirling?

I was nervous, but I had to act like I was not. I got very lucky to work with him. He is an amazing actor. This is my first official Bollywood movie and I am back after a five year break. It was a surreal experience to work with Saif.

Tell us more about the movie.

Akshat Verma wrote Delhi Belly, and this is his debut directorial venture. I don’t think there is a genre for this film. There are 3 stories exploring urban relationships. I’m a wedding photographer in the film,so I had to learn a little bit about camera and lenses.

Any exciting moments we should look forward to?

I can’t tell you much, but I am kissing Saif Ali Khan in a pretty red dress, underwater!

How does it feel to know that you have acted in almost every South Indian language and now in Hindi?

I haven’t got a role in a Kannada film yet. I want to do everything, act in all the languages-Bengali, Punjabi, Bhojpuri.

What is your mother tongue?

Punjabi. But since I grew up in Bombay, I’m a ‘bhelpuri’; a mixture of different things.
