Emperors Palace Hotel, Casino, Convention and Entertainment Resort, located next to O.R. Tambo International Airport, has extended its select-services Peermont Metcourt hotel by 100 rooms, which includes 93 family sized rooms, six Classic King Rooms and one suite. The $8.5 million expansion project has increased the hotel’s capacity from 248 keys to a 348 key facility, expanding Emperors Palace’s room capacity to 757 across its four hotels.

Peermont Metcourt Hotel

Described as modern, contemporary and functional, the Peermont Metcourt was designed specifically for large groups, sports supporters, as well as international and convention customers.

“Public and private sector organisations are increasingly doubling up occupancy and sharing rooms to ensure optimal use of their financial resources,” says Peermont Group Hospitality Executive, Dave Milne. “The king and twin-bed configuration is ideal for families and groups, with the large rooms spacious enough to accommodate up to four people. Mom, dad and two children are easily accommodated. The new rooms also offer HD TV viewing.”

The new 5,166 m² Peermont Metcourt annex includes the grand Capri Suite, comprising a private lounge and dining area balcony overlooking the pool terrace, additional seating to the existing F.L.A.G. Café, an extra guest lift, a sky bar, a 24-hour gymnasium and enhanced access to the offerings of the entire Emperors Palace resort. In addition the resort has also completed the façade cladding of the Peermont Metcourt Suites and Convention Centre to match the Romanesque surroundings of the remainder of the resort.

It’s not even the specially selected crew accompanying you on the inaugural flight, or the senior pilot chosen to fly it home. It’s the difference of approach, says Tom Otley of Business Traveller UK.
