The villagers and island guests are always excited to see you. The creation of your own little space in your hands.
This is the island getaway that Animal Crossing: New Horizons promises.
ACNH came at the right time—just when the world was going into quarantine in March. Its promises of paradise were not only highly anticipated but much needed as the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic loomed. The routines and activities in-game, such as collecting fossils, watering flowers, catching bugs and fishes, and more were very helpful in getting used to real-life practices in the new normal. Overall, the game provided us players comfort and safety to explore worlds without fear of getting sick.
After five months of breaking different sales records, more and more people have picked up the game. It has remained to be relevant as the lockdown in the Philippines continues. To many people--I included--ACNH has become more than just a pastime.
