Gadgets|October 2019
Vivo’s latest flagship phone, the V17 Pro is perfect for all your lifestyle needs. With its robust and powerful specs, the phone lets you do more and enjoy more. Its six cameras perfectly capture the world in vivid color, and startling clarity, and with the glass and metal finish, the phone is both beautiful and elegant to boot.
Perk Up Your Life With V17 PRO

The V17 Pro has a 6.44-inch Full HD SuperAMOLED display following Vivo’s Ultra FullView display design. Powering the V17 Pro is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 SoC, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of expandable internal storage. What makes the Vivo V17 Pro special are the new camera setups for both the front and back of the phone.

The back features a quad-camera setup. The main camera captures 48-megapixel images, while the additional telephoto lens snaps 8-megapixel photos on top of a 2-megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 2-megapixel depth sensor lens.

The front camera carries a pop-up design, with dual front-facing cameras. The main selfie-camera has a 32-megapixel sensor while the secondary lens is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera perfect for group selfies.

Among the cameras’ multitude of special features are 4K video recording and increased AI capabilities. The V17 Pro also boasts a Super Night Mode to capture beautiful, vivid images in low light.

You can also play more, thanks to its 4100 mAh battery and Dual Fast Charging Engine technology. For security, the Vivo V17 Pro has an under-display fingerprint scanner which provides fast and secure access.

HONOR X8B

HONOR’s Xa-series smartphones impressed me last year. HONOR’s entry to mid-range lineup was reasonably priced and each model had its niche special feature. Among the standouts last year was HONOR X8a, an entry mid-ranger with a massive 100-megapixel camera that shot out the competition. This year, the HONOR X8b is a worthy successor to the X8a.
